The women today have changed a lot because of the development of civilization, the women’s liberation movement, changing view of women in society, and the businesses.
The media is the way of expression in human society. We can classify the suppliers of the media. They are the government, commercial companies, and some noncommercial organizations. If we want to analyze that the world of today women’s images with media we can not ignore the commercial media that present in everywhere.
In this paper I want to describe four popular cultural portrayals of women included in different kinds of media. I am going to compare those with Hebrew women who were in the Old-Testament.

I. Women as alternative consumers from the assistants in advertisements

Traditionally, in American society, women’s roles have emphasized homemaker, nurturing, beauty, and dependence to men. Advertising stereotypes of women include the happy and diligent housewife who strives for white wash and shining floors; the beautiful but-dependent social companion; and the girl who wishes to be blonde, thin, or have a physical characteristic she does not naturally possess. But women’s roles widely changed to include career orientation, sexual equality, and independence. Between 1968 and 1971, the Women’s Liberation Movement made a noticeable impact on the role of women in our society, and has been largely responsible for a number of social changes.
Advertisements are meritorious retainers that raise women who naively work hard in the house or workplace. Because the companies opened their eyes to women for hidden, potential, and main consumers and that means women are no longer just housewives and dependents. The concept, the position, and the circumstances for women have been changed and revealed to society.
