• What are the components of each type of pay for time not worked benefits (unemployment insurance, vacation, holidays, sick leave, personal days, and severance pay)?

Find a current article about health care from the SHRM website or other source. Read it, then post the link in your discussion thread. In addition to your link, also give a short summary of the article or source and why the information is valuable for you to have as both an employee and someone who works in Human Resources. Your SHRM subscription is a great place to begin your research.

Session 3 Research Paper

Read the SHRM case: Benefits and Business at Aflac and L. L. Bean. Write a 3-4 page paper contrasting the two companies and provide insight why you believe benefits play an important role in employee satisfaction.  What are the things that made each company successful, and how did employee satisfaction contribute to that success?  Are there any of the things that each company did that contributed to employee satisfaction?
