Session 5 Presentation

In this session you will be creating a presentation based on the research of two global organizations. One global company should be operating in a country(s) that is relatively stable, i.e., economy, electricity, rules of law, etc. The other global company should be operating in a “third world country(s).” Contrast your approach in each and how human resource functions (strategic planning, pay, benefits, training, employee relations, and safety) would be approached.

Your presentation should be designed to emphasize how human resources would need to operate given the global environment, culture, economy or other important factors. Include faith integration and how this would play role in contrasting your examples during your presentation.

You may use a PowerPoint, Prezi, or another creative approach, but be sure to integrate APA approved writing style and formatting.

This presentation is designed to provide further practice of presenting ideas in front of a group and strengthening leadership skills.

Online Students:

Prepare a 15 minute presentation that includes narration or voice-over. The Technology Quick Guides available in the course Dashboard (left sidebar link) provide tips for recording audio in PowerPoint and adding audio clips to Prezi presentations. You can also create a video and upload it to YouTube.

Session 5 Final Paper

Write a 5-7 page paper, not including the cover and reference page, about either a global organization or a small business approach to human resources. Include in your paper the key differences between a medium to large human resource department. Provide specifics related to: staffing, pay, benefits, training, employee development, labor laws, and safety.

Support your ideas and comparisons with a minimum of three academic sources, not including your textbook. Your paper should be formatted according to APA guidelines.
