Google was originally known as BackRub, but Sergey Bin and Larry Page decided to change the search engine’s name to Google (Computer Hope, 2016). Brin and Pagechanged the name because they were inspired by the term googol (Computer Hope, 2016). In 1997, the domain Google.com was registered, and the company was incorporated in 1998. In 2015, however, the company became an Alphabet Company, NAICS Code 577110 (Computer Hope, 2016). Today, Google is at $6 billion a year in revenue and cash is $ 7.6 billion (Hardy, 2005). Google employees 5,000 people (Hardy, 2005); it has 70 offices in more than 40 countries around the world (Google Company, n.d.). Even though all offices are different, the offices have a few common features: murals and decorations which display local personality; Googlers’ sharing cubes, yurts and huddles; pool tables; video games; cafes; micro kitchens; pianos; and whiteboards (Google Company, n.d.).
