- As an individual, you are required to choose a topic of your choice for the week that pertains to the current chapter.
- Please refer to the rubric below for grading requirements.
- Please include the following information:
- Name
- Date
- Title of Critical Analysis, e.g. Presidency Critical Analysis
- Section Code & ID, e.g. Govt. 2305.01
- Please choose a topic of your choice from the following sources: O’Connor textbook, lecture, PowerPoints, and videos (other sources approval). Be thorough in your response and make sure you understand what you are writing. You will be required to share your discoveries with the class when called upon. If you cannot follow through with a presentation of your critical analysis, you will not obtain any credit for your work.
- The way you formulate your critical analysis consists of providing references from book, journals, and online newspapers. I will accept online journals obtained from JSTOR, but references from Wikipedia, About.com, or similar websites are not accepted. Please make sure you cite your work correctly and according to the submission standards.
- If you take a position, you need to support it with academic research. Your thesis should be presented as a well-reasoned argument that has a conclusion and supported by academic research- be ready to be challenged on your position.
- You must submit the following deliverables according to class meeting times:
- If you have class TTH, then your deadline is: Wednesday 10 pm.
- If you have class MWF, then your deadline is: Thursday 10 pm.
- A typed, double space page uploaded to dropbox in LearningStudio.
- 12 point, Times New Roman, 1” margins.
