To post a NEW message to a discussion forum, you will need to create a new thread:

On the Assignments tab within the module, click on the module discussion forum. On the new screen that appears, click on Create Thread. A new screen will open that displays the Forum Description, Message, and Attachments. After reviewing the Forum Description, enter your Subject heading and Message text in the fields provided and click Submit at the top or bottom of the screen.

To Reply to an existing thread:

On the Assignments tab within the module, click on the module discussion forum. Click on any existing thread link to read the thread or reply to it. A new screen will open that displays the original post, as well as the Reply button. Click on Reply, enter your new Subject and Message text in the fields provided and click Submit at the top or bottom of the screen.
